5 Practices to Transform Suffering into Superpower
Today, I will share with your four major traumatic experiences in my life and how every single one of them gave me the very abilities that have brought me success in life.
The scientific term is Post Traumatic Growth. It’s a real thing, and there are specific practices you can introduce to experience it when trauma comes knocking. And it always does.
My favorite term was coined by Dr. Nassim Taleb, who calls it Anti-fragility. A state where you become stronger than before when subjected to suffering, obstacles and trauma.
While it's impossible to avoid suffering, it's possible to minimize it. More importantly, anti-fragility can be taught and learned as an invaluable skill. In this short episode of Headspace, I share the practices that have helped me develop anti-fragility and overcome the worst traumas in my life.
Next week's episode of Headspace is an interview with a world-renowned expert in Positive Psychology and Happiness, Tal Ben-Sharar. We discuss TPG and Anti-fragility at length, as well as a whole range of topics related to the power of happiness as a skill.
