A must-watch
A new XE pod I just released is by far the most concise and practical view of the 3 Reasons why most of us a perfectly capable and still feel undervalued and what to do about it. Highly, highly recommend watching it - it’s 9 minutes long.
Another much longer, guest spot I recorded on Everything They Don’t Tell You pod is an hour and a half long, goes way deep and wide and is totally worth listening to on walk or drive.

Marriage: The Multiplier of Everything Else
At 26, I was living my dream on stage — and drowning off stage.
I was playing to crowds across 15 countries, selling records, and living in the top 1% of artists. And yet, I was clinically depressed. I had sabotaged another relationship, this one with devastating consequences: we had a baby girl, Diana, whom I was now cut off from.
Success in one part of life couldn’t hide the collapse in another. I came from three generations of broken homes, and the baggage showed. My creativity started to wither too — the joy and freedom to write songs, gone.
That’s when I made the most important decision of my life: I may never be the best artist, businessman, or whatever else I aspired to be — but I will learn to become an extraordinary husband.
In a world obsessed with achievement, I made marriage my primary ambition.
Fast forward. Deb and I just celebrated 26 years of marriage.
Last night, over dinner, we traded our top five memories. We covered them in about ten minutes — then kept going. Dinner ended, we walked — still going. Lying in bed, still going. The sheer depth of joy and connection was built not on dramatic moments, but on thousands of small, almost mundane, choices.
Research backs it up: a healthy marriage and family is the number one predictor of success, health, wealth, and longevity. I’ve seen it in my own life. Building a marriage is harder than building a business — by far. But it’s also more rewarding.
It’s never too early and never too late. I started studying marriage while single. Clients of mine, even though I don’t coach “marriage” directly, have turned around years of stagnation once they decided to lean in.
If your marriage is hurting — don’t wait. Lean in. Decide it’s worth it. Because it is. Always.
I recorded a podcast episode a while sharing the lessons I’ve learned — the practices, habits, and reframes that make marriage a multiplier for every other area of life. You can listen here 👉 [How to Find and Keep Love: My 17 Secrets for a Happy Marriage]
