Why fulfillment is a brilliant strategy, not just a vain chasing of dreams
I believe fulfillment is a hint delivered by our intuition about where to go next.
We all want it, but a depressingly low percentage of us pursue it. We ignore the whisper and wake up miserable a decade or two later, wondering what happened.
The question is not what happened but what didn't happen.
It's not about the unpleasant job, stale marriage, or low balance in the bank account.
It's about the risks not taken, intuition not followed, and passion being brushed aside as irrational. That's what happened, and usually - a long time ago.
It's never, ever too late to find fulfillment. Because without it, honestly, why bother?
In my latest episode of Headspace, I break down my 3 top secrets to lasting fulfillment.
Enjoy.
What I’m reading: The End of Everything: How Wars Descend into Annihilation by Victor Davis Hanson. Yes - very uninspiring, and yet sobering in ways we can see history repeat itself.
What you may have missed: In the latest Headspace Live, Brandon Knicely and I get into some deep stories about why pursuing holistic success is the right way to go, why faith matters, and how to reframe your family story. It starts a bit slow, but there’s some good stuff in there. I promise.
PSA—My fantastic team at Third Drive Media is looking for one more media and marketing project to take on this summer.
If you are thinking of either leveling up your company’s marketing or developing a personal brand - this is a great time to get started because you’ll get a lot of individual attention and world-class quality.
